The first time you open up CRM 2013, you are welcome with the Navigation Tour video that guides you through the new features. Once we have gone through it once, we simply click on “Do not show this next time”, and continue with our work.

But if you happen to clear the browser cache, or if your browser is set to clear cache automatically on exit; the screen would come up next time you visit CRM. You might want to stop this from showing up by default. Well yes, there’s a completely supported way recommended by Microsoft to disable Navigation Tour Video in CRM 2013.
How to disable Navigation Tour Video in CRM
All you have to do is following the steps below as mentioned in the Microsoft Dynamics 2013 Implementation Guide. This needs to be carried out in the machine where the CRM Server is installed.
- Start Registry Editor.
- Locate registry subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSCRM.
- Right-click MSCRM, point to New, click DWORD (32-bit) Value, enter DisableNavTour, and then press ENTER.
- Right-click DisableNavTour, click Modify.
- In the Value data box, type 1, and then press ENTER.
- Close the Registry Editor.

Remember, this works only for On-Premise version of CRM 2013; since in online versions you definitely won’t get access to the registry editor of the machine where CRM is installed.
Bringing up Navigation Tour Video explicitly
If you wish to see the navigation tour at anytime in the future, you could just click on the “gear” icon (settings) just beside your username at the top left corner of the screen; and select “Open Navigation Tour”. Or, you could just go back into the registry editor and remove the DWORD that you just added.

This is the procedure recommended by Microsoft and is available in the officially released Microsoft Dynamics 2013 Implementation Guide. Look for the file “CRMIGv6_Installing.docx”, page number 204.
